The Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society is run by volunteers and is an entirely self-funded charity. Established in the mid 1970s, the aims of the Society are to promote the preservation of old machinery and artefacts and, where possible, keep them in their native area. The Society own a 1953 Leyland Tiger Cub, the last bus built at Beaumaris by Saunders Roe (SARO) , an 1889 Aveling & Porter R10 Roller that spent its life building and maintaining the island's roads, a Threshing Box that worked in Caernarfonshire and a recently acquired 1948 Jones Bailer.
